Tight Customs is the brainchild of Don Hendricks, born from his love for all things fast,
chromed, and beautiful. At an early age Don developed a taste for "Big Boys Toys", trucks,
cars, boats, and of course motorcycles. His life's mission now is to share his passion with others by offering people like himself the finest extreme custom products.

Matt Donaldson brings hi-tech manufacturing experience to the party. In the aerospace
industry for over 30 years and the owner of his own CNC maching and manufacturing
company, Matt is no stranger to the craft of turning raw billets of metal into works of art.
When presented with Don's proposition to start this new business venture he jumped
on and hasn't looked back.

Manufacturing
We start with premium grade, 6061 Aluminum alloy billets. The billets are forged, under tremendous pressure, into wheel shaped “Blanks”. After forging the Blanks are furnace aged and tempered under carefully controlled conditions to obtain the optimum mechanical properties for this material. The blanks are rough machined on a CNC wheel lathe and then in another thermal process, stress relieved. Following stress relief the wheels go back to the lathe where the rim is finish machined to industry standard specifications. At this point the wheels are set up on multi-axis machining centers where our distinctive designs are carved into their faces. To view some shop pics click here.

Hand Finishing
Each wheel is carefully finished by hand. Working first to break sharp edges, remove machine tool marks and blend transitional surfaces, the wheels are prepared for polishing. Using muslin buffs and fine polishing compounds the wheels inner luster is brought to life.

Chrome
All aluminum wheels are treated with a SEVEN LAYER plating process, which goes beyond the industry standard 'triple plate finish' (copper, nickel, chrome) by providing two additional protective layers of copper and nickel. Plus, after parts have been copper plated, we send them through our polishing department once again for a full copper buff, all to prepare the surface for the final layers of nickel and chrome to provide the utmost in corrosion protection and SHINE. And, all chrome plating is backed by our one-year Warranty.
